Who would you want to be in the room next door when life draws to an end?

The Room Next Door (2024) is a poignant English-language film directed by acclaimed Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar, starring Julianne Moore and Tilda Swinton.
The story follows Martha, a war correspondent facing a terminal illness, who chooses to end her life through assisted dying. She invites her longtime friend, Ingrid, a novelist, to stay in the room next door to accompany her through her final days.

Tender, intimate, and unflinchingly human.  The film delves into themes of death, friendship, and the dignity of choice, inviting us to reflect on what it truly means to live well and die well.

A post-screening dialogue will follow the screening to explore how we, as individuals and as a society, can face mortality with honesty, compassion, and grace.
