There are several broad categories of personal data held by Alongside:

Client records include data supplied by clients and prospective clients, such as:

• identification information, including names, HKID numbers, and other personal identifiers;
• contact details, including addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses; and
• financial details on an individual’s assets, savings, credit card details, and other financial information necessary for providing or facilitating our services.

They are mainly kept and used for providing and facilitating services, responding to and following up on inquiries, communication, direct marketing activities, and/or complying with legal or regulatory obligations.

Personnel records include CVs, references, appraisal and disciplinary records, personal contact details, bank accounts, and tax details. They are kept for human resources administration purposes.

Partner and service provider records include the personal details, records, and qualifications of business partners, collaborators, service providers, and their respective employees and officers. They are kept and used for the purposes of engaging, managing, communicating with, and making payments to such partners, collaborators, and/or service providers.

Volunteer and supporter records are kept for organising fundraising and educational activities, and other related activities. They may include personal details provided by data subjects who participate in the events and activities organised by Alongside.

Event and participant records include data supplied by event participants and attendees, such as names, contact details, and payment or registration information. They are kept and used for processing event registration and ticketing, communicating event details and logistics, coordinating accessibility arrangements, and administering participation in events organised by Alongside.

Other records are kept for various purposes relating to the operation of Alongside. They may include personal details provided by owners, directors, advisory committee members, and visitors, as well as other operational and administrative records.
